Hapalopus sp. Colombia (Large), the Pumpkin Patch tarantula, has one of the most immediately recognizable patterns in the hobby. The bold orange and black abdominal design is vivid, distinct, and holds up through multiple molts. Large form females reach about 3 inches — bigger than the small form, with the same striking coloration and considerably more personality per inch than most species at this size.
This is an active, opinionated little spider from Colombian scrubland. It webs constantly, eats enthusiastically, and will threat-posture at a legspan that surprises new keepers. Not shy. Not boring. Beginner-appropriate care in a package that looks and acts like it belongs in a much more advanced collection.
